Thank you very much for your regular reading and support!
This paper, “Heartfull Fukushima Supplementary Issue, the Fukushima Disaster Volunteer Center Magazine” was first printed on April 26th.
Ever since the disaster broke out, all the media coverage, when it comes to dealing with Fukushima, has been concentrating on “the nuclear accidents”. As we heard the voices of people from Fukushima prefecture as well as those from outside, even beyond the national boundary, saying that they had not been informed of the situation at evacuation centers nor of the developments concerning disaster sufferers and volunteer services, we thought, “then, let’s send out information from within Fukushima!” and as a result, the production of this paper was planned.
Since then a little over two months have passed. Keeping to our regular date of issue every Monday, this is the 12th volume of the paper.
According to our original plan, Volume12 was supposed to be the last issue. However, more reconstruction efforts will be made by disaster victims and volunteer workers in the future. Because of our strong hope to learn from such efforts and to convey information on them to more people, we have decided to continue to publish the paper beyond Volume 13. The pace of publication and the composition of the paper in the future will be decided by the editorial staff. We kindly ask for your patience for a little while until you receive Volume13.
Thank you very much to all the people who have willingly cooperated in our interviews, have helped distribute the paper, and to our attentive readers.
We would like to express our appreciation for your continued support and cooperation.
